Overall Thoughts

Very Impressive!  Thats how I feel I need to start this review!  

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I decided to review this program from Hypnosis Downloads.  I had purchased some of their MP3's in the past and liked them, but smoking is such a heavy hitter in terms of importance, I just didn't know how it would stack up against the others?

Let me start by saying that I'm a person that, when I decide I want something...I want it "RIGHT NOW!".  I hate to order something and wait to have it delivered.  I'm impatient.  And I sure hate paying extra postage to have it delievered overnight.  With this program, you place your order and can be listening to the program within minutes...literally minutes!  

And another reason I like a download in this instance is because with smoking, you need to "cease the moment".  In other words, I'm sure you've thought about quitting smoking before, (numerous times I'm sure), and maybe you were going to purchase a "stop smoking" aid, or maybe even try hypnosis...but since you couldn't act on the thought immediately, that desire to quit slipped quietly away.  Thoughts of quitting smoking come and go...one day you just can't stand smoking and are ready to quit right now...and the next day you have a crappy day at work and decide that just couldn't have gotten through it without smoking.  You must ACT on your desire to quit smoking as soon as possible!  

So I made my purchase and was quickly directed to a page on their website, where I simply "right clicked" on the links, and selected "Save Link As" and selected the folder on my computer where I wanted to save the link.  I recommend creating a special folder for your downloads so that you know exactly where to go to find the MP3's.  The process is all really simple and if for some reason you get confused in the process, you can always contact Hypnosis Downloads.  Here is a sample page of what you can expect to see along with a few notes. 

When I started listening to the MP3's, one of the first things I noticed is that they tell you that you do not need to "quit smoking" immediately.  Instead, you should continue to smoke until you are ready.  I thought this was an interesting approach compared to most "hypnosis for smoking" programs.  

The MP3's are nicely produced.  The gentleman's voice is "distinctly British", which I enjoy listening to.  There is no background music on any of the sessions, which I actually liked for a change.  Too many hypnosis audios are full of a bunch of background noise which is just distracting.  These were very pleasant to listen to.  The person's voice doesn't sound "robotic" or sound like they're sitting there reading off a script.    

There are 10 MP3's with an added, "Stay Stopped Smoking" MP3 to make a total of 11.  Each of the MP3's is distinctly different in the message they're bringing to you.  And here is something I really like about getting this many sessions...you won't easily get bored like you would if you were listening to the same CD or MP3, over and over.  

So you may be thinking...what in the world could they talk about in 10 different MP3 sessions?  They use a lot of stories and metaphors, which is what the subconscious mind can easily relate to.  The subconscious is the part of the brain where hypnosis is actually working.  This area of the brain isn't a "logical" thinking part.  The subconscious relates to stories, feelings, imagination, etc...which is why using stories and metaphors works so well.  Listening to these MP3's was really kinda fun and they help you to see the habit of smoking in a totally different light.

Each of the sessions is only about 20 minutes so it doesn't take that long to listen to one or two during the day.  

Overall...I REALLY LIKED this program!  I was a little skeptical about spending $97 for it, but I now think that price is a real bargain.  I'm actually going to look at their weight loss program for myself.  Oh...and one other thing that I didn't mention is that they also follow up with emails to help support you in your quest to stop smoking.  They've really put a lot of thought and effort into this.
